Al Qudra
Head to Al Qudra for artificial lakes, surrounded by sand dunes that make a perfect backdrop for a selfie at sunset. Since it’s so far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it also offers clear views of the stars. A barbeque under a star-lit sky is one for the bucket list. Big Red (Bidayer).
If you are a fan of desert games, head to Big Red (Bidayer). It’s the largest sand dune near the city so it’s perfect for a quick getaway. You can go dune bashing, quad biking and sand skiing here. Be careful though, it’s a popular spot, you don’t want to be part of someone else’s dune bashing experience. Image Credit: Ahmed Ramzan/Gulf News Photographer
