This cult skincare brand is having an insane sale during the whole of November
Cult skincare parent company DECIEM is having an incredible sale which is set to run throughout the whole of November.
The brand, which is the brains behind cult skincare line The Ordinary, is having a site-wide discount for this entire month. Every single product has been discounted by 23 per cent.
It’s part of DECIEM’s month-long initiative, KNOWvember, which is a month of “mindful month of education, research, reflection and consideration”.
So, as well as incredible discounts, throughout November there will be new educational content surrounding skincare routines, masterclasses, discussions with experts. DECIEM’s CEO and co-founder Niocla Kilner will even be showing offer her at-home skincare routine.
Discussing the ethos behind KNOWvember, Kilner explained that it aims t’ encourage consumers “to research and reflect ahead of purchasing”.
“The idea is to encourage people to know more, so they can buy less,” she explains. “It’s important to us to ensure that we do not play a part in encouraging impulse-driven purchasing.
“Hyper-consumerism remains one of the biggest threats to the planet, and we know that an urgent change in how humans produce and consume products is required.
“The UN communicated that according to latest projections, the global population could grow to around 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.7 billion in 2050. The equivalent of almost three planets could be required to provide the natural resources needed to sustain current lifestyles.”
Shunning the idea of Black Friday, whereby DECIEM stores will be closed on the day, this is where the idea for KNOWvember was born. While there are no physical DECIEM stores in the UAE (as of yet…), you can still shop everything the brand has to offer on their website.
Earlier this year, Kilner told Emirates Woman about plans to expand in the Middle East.
“We are desperate to be there,” Kilner says. “It’s a really interesting space and an area that has been so essential to driving beauty forward. We really can’t wait to be a part of it.”
