Farmers Market is back at Bay Avenue
Dubai: The Farmers Market returned to Bay Avenue on November 2 for its 10th season with a range of vendors retailing products ranging from home-grown vegetables and fruits to fresh baked goods, preserves and vegan treats.
Running until May, 2019, the market offers a chance for consumers to source organic and fresh produce and directly interact with local farmers. Visitors can also choose from a selection of crops picked in the morning and brought directly for sale to the market.
Kids can spend quality time at a dedicated kids zone and participate in activities such as face painting, arts and crafts, caricature drawing, canvas and mask painting and clay art.
Baker and Spice, the award-winning artisanal food shop, will offer pastries, breads, cakes and preserves all made with organic produce, largely supplied by the local farmers. The stall will additionally serve a market breakfast, freshly cooked on the grill.
Visitors can also enjoy the culinary expertise of Chef Jitin Joshi, head chef of the Taj Dubai and Chef Nigel Lobo from the Eloquent Elephant as they host live cooking demonstrations and create dishes made with fresh produce from the market.
